Dr. Robert F. Jackson is recognized as a long-time leader in the cosmetic surgery field, providing the highest quality care in the Indianapolis area for over 30 years. Throughout Dr. Jackson’s career, he’s been committed to educating young physicians as well as his colleagues. Dr. Jackson has trained many medical students, residents and fellows in the field of surgery and especially in the field of cosmetic surgery. He’s also hosted many live workshops at his own facility, and participated as a faculty member in live review workshops throughout the United States and abroad. Recently, he received the International Golden Scalpel award, which is presented by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery for surgical excellence, dedication to teaching, advancements in cosmetic surgery and commitment to research. Dr. Jackson embodies these qualities in his daily practice; his devotion to his patients sets an uncompromisingly high standard for patient satisfaction.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, a Delegate of the American Medical Association, and a past president of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Jackson has truly helped shape the future of cosmetic surgery. Outside of his active practice, Dr. Jackson is dedicated to research, publication and lecturing, both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Jackson’s expertise in liposuction particularly has made him a well-known name within the cosmetic surgery community. He served as the Chairman of the Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction Task Force for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and helped draft the first published standards of safety in liposuction of the AACS. Dr. Jackson is also highly regarded for his proficiency in the area of breast augmentation and breast reduction.

Dr. Jackson spends a good portion of every year learning new techniques, adopting those that will most benfit his patients. He’s been involved in educational courses internationally, learning from the most esteemed surgeons in the world. Since becoming a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic surgery over 30 years ago, he hasn’t missed a single annual scientific meeting-speaking in most of them but learning in all of them. As he likes to say, “You must never stop learning. It wouldn’t be fair to your patients.”
