Bag and purseOnce you’ve done the legwork and narrowed down your search for your breast augmentation surgeon, it’s time to schedule your consultation and finally meet them. Knowing just what to expect at your breast augmentation consultation can make the process that much smoother and less stressful.

When planning for your visit, make sure you check off these three important things to bring along with you.

1. Questions

Choose before and after breast augmentation photos of women with similar body types and builds as yours.

Do your research before you go to your consultation and come up with a list of questions that you want to ask your cosmetic surgeon. No question is a bad one, and you should feel free to ask as many as you like.

Some good questions to ask at your breast enhancement consult are:

  • Am I a good candidate for breast implants?
  • What size and profile of implant would best fit my goals?
  • Which incision and implant placement technique do you recommend?
  • How many breast augmentations have you performed in the past?
  • What can I expect after breast augmentation?

2. Photos

Aside from asking questions, you want to use your consultation time to discuss your goals with your cosmetic surgeon so he or she can design a surgical plan that meets those needs. To help you communicate your wish list, bring some photos of what you’d like your breasts to look like after your procedure.

3. A Few Outfits

Bring a few bras, bikini tops and a regular t-shirt with you to try on with sizing bras at your consultation. This should give you a better idea of what your results could look like when wearing different styles of clothing.
